Over this summer, family and I visited England, Belgium, and France. One of my favorite cities was Ghent, Belgium. The charm of Ghent is hard to explain but its harmony of beauty, history, a hip populace and leisure is really something unique.

Each building is a miraculous symphony of small parts. Stepping back a bit you see these structures become a playground of elegant colors. Today’s doodle reflects my impression of Ghent.

I break the sketch into its elements, mix up the pieces, and over time introduce each piece with some simple animations.
