Tickerville picking up a few awards and honors…

I’m happy to report that Tickerville is winning honors on various CSS “best of” sites. The most recent sites Tickerville has received honors on are Best Web Gallery, CSS Mania, and several others. My main focus remains Flash sites however CSS skills are something I’m slowly honing. So this recognition is inspiring me to work harder on CSS which is too useful a technology to pass off.

I’d like to give a special thanks to many individuals which contributed in various ways to this success: my wife and her family, my mom, Lafe Taylor, and last but not least CSS expert Stephen Slater.

For Tickerville, the goal of both my client and myself was to tastefully capture the coolness of yesteryears’ Wall Street. We wanted something that was easy to use but had a certain degree of swagger. The success metric I focused on was how the citizenship of Tickerville felt about this new environment I had built alongside my client and trading phenom Quint Tatro. The response was overwhelmingly positive and there were even a couple of citizens which had wonderful suggestions for improvements as well.

So, as Quint and I like to say, it’s been another great day in Tickerville!
